San Pedro Boasts Cultural Riches

San Pedro has many notable locales and events that deservedly serve as great sources of local pride and ardent South Bay support. We can justifiably boast of our resident Golden State Pops Orchestra, the San Pedro City Ballet and The Relevant Stage, an organization that produces a variety of dramas and musicals. We are becoming a genuine cultural Mecca.
On Friday night, we attended a performance at the magnificent Warner Grand Theatre that again justified that conviction. The event was The Relevant Stage's delightful musical comedy production "Urinetown." The rich music and descriptive lyrics were beautifully delivered by a group of highly talented performers. The production was one that had the audience toe-tapping, laughing and applauding enthusiastically. We look forward to the company's next presentation, "Bat Boy: The Musical," Oct. 9-19.
We encourage our neighbors who have not yet enjoyed these artistic wonders to discover and enjoy all that is offered at the Warner Grand Theatre. Once they have attended an event, they will surely return again and often.

Students study acting, music and dance. A Monday Night Showcase performance ends each 6-week cycle
